First Look at Cramming for Love

I’m currently editing my next short, titled Cramming for Love, which is targeted for a mid-May release. This one was done guerilla-style at the Santa Barbara Library. All scenes combined took about three hours to shoot. It will feel more like a film than a sketch.

One of my goals – in addition to releasing a short twice a month – is to produce content I feel is original, with a challenging aspect I haven’t faced before. This was my first time filming in an indoor public area. Alex (lead actor) and I had to improvise while shooting to get great shots without causing attention to ourselves.

I’m really excited about this project. I feel this short, as well as Santa Barbara Isn’t Real are helping me find my voice as a filmmaker and represent the direction I want to head with future shorts.

Here’s a screenshot from Cramming for Love in Premiere. Alex is awesome.
